Programme:

Gulmarg belongs between best ski resorts in Asia. Ski slopes are located on the hillside of Mt. Apharwat (4200 m) to where also leads one of the highest cable cars (Gondola) in the world of which top station lies in height 3950 m. In resort you can also find one chair lift and 3 J-bar lifts for beginners. In the surroundings of the Gondola you can find maintained ski slopes but skiers are mostly interested in skiing in a nature snow. With an experienced instructor you can go downhill also hardly accessible hillside and enjoy the real adventure. In the case of interest you can also use a helicopter for heli-skiing! Gondola has two stations. First part is gentle, ski slopes lies between threes, second part is steep suitable for experienced skiers. Length of maintained ski slopes is ca. 5 km.

  • Day : 1 Delhi – Srinagar

    In the morning a flight from Delhi to Srinagar. Accommodation in a hotel and if there is time a short city tour of the old city of Srinagar with Friday mosque and many beautiful Sufi shrines. Dinner and overnight.


  • Day : 2 Srinagar - Gulmarg

    Breakfast. Transfer to ski resort Gulmarg, lunch, accommodation in a hotel and first introduction to the resort. If you are interested, there is the possibility of the first skiing. Dinner and overnight.


  • Day : 3 Skiing in Gulmarg

    Breakfast. Skiing, lunch, dinner and overnight.

  • Day : 4 Skiing in Gulmarg

    Breakfast. Skiing, lunch, dinner and overnight.


  • Day : 5 Skiing in Gulmarg

    Breakfast. Skiing, lunch, dinner and overnight.


  • Day : 6 Gulmarg - Srinagar

    Breakfast. In the morning return to Srinagar. If there is time, a short city tour of Srinagar, local markets etc. Dinner and overnight.


  • Day : 7 Srinagar – Old Delhi

    Breakfast. In the morning flight to Delhi. Transfer to a hotel. In the afternoon a half day city tour in Old Delhi – the Friday Mosque, Red Fort (UNESCO) a short walk in Chandi Chowk square. Raj Ghat – place where body of Mahatma Gandhi was burnt. Overnight in Delhi.


  • Day : 8 Delhi – Agra – Taj Mahal

    Breakfast. Transfer from Delhi to Agra (approx. 3 hours). After arrival a city tour of Agra, former settlement of Mughal Emperors with its Red Fort (UNESCO) and the monumental tomb of Emperor Akbar (UNESCO). In the afternoon a visit to most famous tomb and symbol of love Taj Mahal (UNESCO). Return to Delhi and overnight.

  • Day : 9 Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – NP Ranthambore

    After breakfast, a drive to NP Ranthambore, one of the most famous tiger reserve in the country. On the way, a visit of the “Ghost City” Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO), the former Capital of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar and see the Sikri Fort & Palace, Buland Darwaza and the white marble shrine of the great Sufi saint, Salim Chishti, who blessed Emperor Akbar with a son. Evening arrival in NP Ranthambore and overnight.


  • Day : 10 Safari in NP Ranthambore - Jaipur

    In the early morning a safari in the NP Rantambore – watching of tigers, antelopes, birds and many other animals. Return for breakfast and transfer to Jaipur (approx. 5 hours). Overnight.


  • Day : 11 Jaipur sightseeing + Elephant ride

    Breakfast. In the morning, a visit to Amber Fort, a former settlement of the local Maharajas with its famous Mirror Hall and Hall of Joy. An optional elephant ride to the Fort. It is followed by a sightseeing tour of the “pink city” Jaipur with its City Palace and museum, the city symbol Hawa Mahal (“Palace of Wind”) and astronomical observatory from the 18th century Jantar Mantar (UNESCO). That evening, you can enjoy shopping in the local market, world famous for its export handicraft & jewellery. Overnight.


  • Day : 12 Jaipur – Delhi

    After breakfast, a drive back to Delhi. Completion of Delhi sightseeing: Kutub Minar (UNESCO) - biggest brick minaret in the world with a complex of buildings with early Afghan architecture. The Lotus temple, the beautiful blooming Lotus flower shaped building. Humayun´s Tomb (UNESCO), a unique example of Mughal architecture. The India Gate and drive around the Government buildings. In the afternoon, shopping activities in a local market or another optional programme according to your wishes. Transfer to the airport and departure.
